My name is Christine Blackie. As an independent Career Counsellor, I help clergy and individuals employed in church-related settings to make positive changes to their
working lives.
Whatever your role – ordained minister, deacon, SSM, reader, lay worker or a Church leader responsible for the development of clergy, you can read here to find out more about how Career Counselling works in practice.

Background
Dr Christine Blackie is interested in the career transition and mobility of clergy and individuals working in church settings. Following doctoral research and with extensive experience of working with individuals and groups, she brings in-depth knowledge and understanding of calling and vocation in career and what that means in practice when making a transition or move.
Christine holds a Master’s degree in Career Management and Counselling and a Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour. She is an accredited member of the Career Development Institute (CDI), the National Institute of Careers Education and Counselling (NICEC) and a Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (MIPD)
